Consulting Chat with Nikhil Kulkarni
We had a guest lecture today at NITIE in our business communication class delivered by one of our alumni, Mr. Nikhil Kulkarni also the co-founder of Darwin Tech; a travel technology startup working on products for the leisure holiday market. He has also previously worked with KPMG for more than 10 years before venturing out as an entrepreneur. This was an amazing and insightful session organized by our Professor, T.Prasad sir. It was a great learning opportunity.
The lecture was based below pointers
- Business Communication in consulting
- The Pyramid Principle
- Creating Impact - Tips and tricks
- Creating a 'Personal Brand' - why, how, when?
Independence Day Special
On our 74th Independence day, We at NITIE organized a virtual meet to commemorate the occasion and also launch our annual "Maha Mandi" event of 2020. We were joined today by 2 esteemed guests Mr. Abhay Jire, the CIO of the Ministry of Education, and Mrs. Apeksha, Founder of "Zyka ka Tadka", also our alumnus. Few ideas that both our guests spoke about really struck a chord with me. I would love to share them with you all.
Mr. Abhay Jere commended NITIE for having been a pioneer in organizing an event like Maha Mandi in which students actually participate. He also lauded our institution for having supported start-ups in a big way. He emphasized on the need for more such initiatives and building new startups, which India is capable of.

Mrs. Apeksha also shared with us a few examples of how she sees business opportunities in everything around her, even in the room that she was sitting in while interacting with us. She emphasized the need to observe our surroundings and to be able to think of creative business ideas. She also shared with us her experience in the Maha Mandi event during her college days and how it played a pivotal role in her life.
This event was hosted by our very own beloved T.Prasad sir. This was just the motivation I needed to embark on my own journey to find something that I am passionate about and to build a business around it. I hope to learn more in my days at NITIE and to grow into a responsible professional and the Maha Mandi event is the right platform to start.

Maha Mandi 2020
MahaMandi 2020 is a trademark event of NITIE. Our Marketing Interest Group brings to you the big event of the year where you get the practical perspective of customer behavior.
We have chosen to go our Prime Minister's way this year to support his campaign - Vocal for the local.
I am very much excited to be a part of the great event this year in the occasion of our Nation's 74th Independence day. I would like to thank our Professor Prasad for constantly encouraging us to take part in the event which otherwise I would have regretted later.
What is this all about? What am I doing?
